Escalators for the school and solar pannels

We are in the 21st century, the technology takes advantages everyday to make the living of a regular person easier. The school receives up to 200.000 pesos for each student every year and the spend the money on PCs, iPads and technological stuff, why we don't spend money on the comfort of students? As the elevator is only for teachers, in my opinion unfair, there should be escalators. They could be powered by sunlight, the school receives sunlight at every hour, so why not spend once to make a change that will last?

Activity 1, Page 23

It was a normal day at the Brown's house. Thekids where having breakfast. They bought the typical cereal they usually buy, but this time the box had an offer "prize inside". The youngest one, Timmy, was looking desperate for the prize. At the bottom of the box. There was no toy, instead of that there was a golden ring with a huge saphire on it. The boy, astonished, ran to his mother's bedroom to show her the prize he got. Anne, the mother, was surprised of the unusual toy of the cereal.
The next day at the news an important and wealthy woman was communicating that she had been robbed, at the moment she was talking a picture displayed on the screen. It was the ring!, she inmediatly called the police and gave them the ring.
The next week she recieved a postcard, it said: " Dear Anne, thank you so much for returning my ring, is a fammily relic and I will be very depressed if I didn't find it, here is a little present for you". The package contained £300. She was astonished!. Until today the person who robbed the ring stills being a mystery.

Section 3, Task 3

It was 25th of August, 3 days before the birthday of my best friend. All of us were planning what to do to celebrate his birthday. Then someone proposed a surprise party.
We thought that it was the best thing, because everyone likes good surprises and because it would be great.
Planning the party wasn't easy. We had to tell everyone, and we had to be very careful, otherwise my friend could hear about this. Also, we had to buy all materials. Food, materials, decorations, etc.
When the party came, I went to my house with my friend, while the others were preparing last details of the party. The sent me a message "PP" that meant everything was ready. I went with my friend, and when he entered and heard the "SURPRISE!!!!" he couldn't even believe it! He was so happy and amazed about the party that he almost fainted! And that is how it was made the best surprise party to a friend.

Task 5, Section 1

Dear Josh,

Thanks for informing me about your recent idea of being a TV presenter. I think it is a very good idea.

It will be very important to become a TV presenter to be very funny, positive and active. People want a good presenter but if you don't have that characteristics, you will fail.

You will find some difficulties, for example, the journalists. They will always try to let you down. You have to be emotionally strong. I think that if you use this advice, you will be very successful as a TV presenter, and maybe I will see you in TV shows many times.

I hope you can be a good presenter.

Section 2, Task 2

The new leisure centre that you opened last week isn't accepted here in the area. Everyone thought that this could be a great idea but now everyone hates it.
The first problem of it, is that it's appearance is boring. The main thing that can make people to go to that leisure centre is the appearance. If you see this leisure centre from the outside your will know that it will be boring. Another thing is that when you enter, there is nothing to do! There's only 1 ride that is aceptable, Because the others are for 5 year-old kids. I think that the reason why this is boring is because it has only three rides! There is a solution, make new rides with a good design. If you make these new things people will be attracted and all of them will go.

Sincerely,
Juan C. Manriquez
